# Additional Contents folded into the ADS-B method

**Version covered:** geometry `g2.p1.r2.l1.f1`; corpus processing 1. All files are public domain (OurAirports, released under the Unlicense) and are included in this package.

## 1. Airport reference — `airports.iata.csv`

The exact file VECTORS uses (SHA-256 `4a4f7b7d754cf35337499bf0f07c7a5f99572e4a53e7c629030472d5b945442e`), included here. It is OurAirports' airport list reduced to rows with an IATA code and to the columns `iata, icao, name, city, region, country_code, latitude, longitude, elevation_ft, kind`. Outputs name it by that digest. Used by `method.md` §5.1, §9.2 and §10.

## 2. Runway reference — OurAirports at commit `4f793127dcf3f6e6b4870862a4832c9dbef455e7`

Every airport build under this processing version takes its runway reference from this one commit of `davidmegginson/ourairports-data`; each runway assignment names it (`ourairports:runways.csv@ourairports-data@<commit>`). The commit's complete upstream files are included, gzip-compressed:

| File | SHA-256 of the uncompressed upstream file |
| --- | --- |
| `ourairports/4f793127dcf3f6e6b4870862a4832c9dbef455e7/runways.csv.gz` | `55327dcf14176ddee0e696b7476b7de54c60810016068b16d5346ea1871ff5dd` |
| `ourairports/4f793127dcf3f6e6b4870862a4832c9dbef455e7/airports.csv.gz` | `afee98cc969c6564a76807bee54859e0727b7b4e68421c0ab05967cd0c5a76ea` |

For an airport key, its row in `airports.csv` is the one whose `ident` equals the key, else the first whose `icao_code` equals it; its runways are the `runways.csv` rows with that `airport_ident`, ordered by `id`. A row is rejected if either end lacks a designator or position, the ends are under 1 m apart, or an end lies more than 15,000 m from the airport anchor. Fields used: `le_*` and `he_*` ident, latitude, longitude, elevation and displaced threshold; `width_ft`, `length_ft`, `closed`. Used by `method.md` §10.6, §10.7, §10.9 and §10.12.

A later processing version that moves to another commit publishes that commit's files in its own package.

## 3. Not folded in

FAA airport-surface data and Natural Earth are used only for VECTORS' separate map and airport-surface layers; no value from them enters this component. Registration and type (`r`, `t`) arrive inside ADSB.lol traces from the Mictronics aircraft database (ODC-By 1.0) and are carried as received; they are Contents of the source database.
